EFI Fiery Controller Powers Toshiba's High Speed e-STUDIO Products

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 14, 2001--Electronics for Imaging, Inc. (Nasdaq:EFII), the world leader in enabling networked printing solutions, announced that EFI's Fiery® X3e technology will power Toshiba's new GA1110 embedded printer controller. This new controller will be used in Toshiba's new e-STUDIO(TM) 55/65/80 Large Workgroup products and will bring unprecedented print speed and seamless network integration to the new line of black and white multi-function printers/copiers.

The Fiery X3e architecture, on which Toshiba's GA1110 embedded controller is based, produces high quality B&W printing at speeds up to 80 pages per minute. This Fiery-based controller offers flexible network management and includes workflow utilities for enhanced job control.
